Advitech joins forces with HunterNet Future Leaders

A team of HunterNet Future Leaders recently visited Advitech to meet with their new project colleagues. The collaboration is set to help developing leaders gain valuable real-world experience and bring tangible benefits to the host organisation.

The HunterNet Future Leaders Program is uniquely designed to take our region’s developing professionals to the next level through exposure to industry leading presenters, cross-functional networking, and a competitive scenario-based project experience.

The newly formed team of Future Leaders will leverage their combined experiences and cross-disciplinary skills to help Advitech achieve meaningful business outcomes. During the first ‘meeting of the minds’ on 23 July, all members shared their personal and professional objectives and began identifying key business challenges to address.

Advitech’s Chief Operating Officer, Paul Reynolds, expressed his enthusiasm and support for the collaboration.

“This is a win-win situation where emerging leaders in our region experience valuable collaboration with some of the Hunter’s brightest, and in turn we benefit from the focused brains trust that is the Future Leaders team,” said Paul.

Participants in the Program are all from the Hunter and all have a good understanding of the strengths and opportunities of their region. The team’s goal is to operate as a consultancy firm partnering with Advitech to define key business challenges and develop a strategic plan for solving those challenges.

At the conclusion of the project, the team will produce a written report and present their findings and strategic plan to a panel of judges, made up of local business leaders. Projects will be judged against criteria such as research, creativity, boldness and team cohesion.

“We’re really excited to see what comes of this project and to contribute to the development of the next generation of leaders in our region,” Paul added.

Future Leaders Jason Sullivan (Ampcontrol), Joe Kelley (Coverite), Susan Tju (University of Newcastle), Patrick Murray (Bohemia Interactive solutions) and Sarah Mintz (Ampcontrol) meet with Steven Smith, Paul Reynolds, Abby Yates and Hamish Waterer from Advitech.
